The Project
Allen Construction Consultancy was appointed to manage the refurbishment of the run-down tennis facilities at Clapham Common, London, which required:
- Whole resurfacing on 8 tennis courts and installation of shelters
- New fencing and landscaping
- Installation of new drainage system
- Full floodlighting system
Our Role
Allen Construction Consultany's role as both Contract Administrator and Quantity Surveyor, played an important part in ensuring the project was delivered on time and within budget to enable users to play on improved facilities ready for the summer.
The Outcome
The Council are very impressed and the opening was a success with the world number 12 from Croatia, Marin Cilic, and the number one doubles pair, Colin Flemming and Ken Skupski, passing on hints and tips to dozens of local Lambeth school children. See our 'News' section for more details.
