The Project
In conjunction with Unique Building Solutions, Allen Developments designed and delivered a fast, cost-effective, flat-packed extension to an existing house on behalf of Solihull Community Housing.

Our Role
To develop a cost-effective solution to provide ground floor DDA facilites to a residential property. Further alterations took place to provide a ground floor double bedroom with en-suite facilities and the new extension provided disabled shower/bathroom facilities.

Outcome
The modular sizes have been designed so they can provide extensions, which under the new planning guidelines, do not require permission up to 6m wide and 4m deep, dependent on property type. Another advantage is that this system has LA Type approval therefore only foundations, drainage and other special type conditions will need Building Control approval. This unit was submitted using the LANTAC certificate which enabled swift and consistent Building Control approval and thus contributes to the speed of the overal project delivery process.
