Asbestos and Asbestos Contaminated Materials (ACMs)

The dangers of asbestos are well catalogued and the duty to control the risk rests with the property owner.

Allen Construction Consultancy fully endorses the HSEs Asbestos ‘Duty to Manage’ Campaign, and looks to work with clients to eradicate all risk.

Let us take away the doubt of asbestos:

Stage 1: An asbestos survey is undertaken before any design work – irrespective of contract value. Ideally this should be done as soon as we are appointed. This ensures immediate action can be taken – with cost and programme implications kept to a minimum.

Stage 2: Once a survey is complete an assessment is undertaken by a UKAS accredited asbestos specialist. Should any ACMs be present, this will help us determine the right remedial action.

All Allen Construction Consultancy technical staff are provided with asbestos training, as part of our Health & Safety Policy, on their induction.
